Question:Is bottom tray available for purchase?

Answer:That is not a bottom tray. That is how it looks when compressed together. It opens up to the above image.

Question:Is it dish washer safe?

Answer:It doesn't say, but it's pretty thick plastic and I can't imagine that you couldn't put it in your dishwasher.

Question:How do you get it from collapsed to open fully?

Answer:Push down on the bottom while pulling up on the top to pop it out. The dark gray area is rubber that allows it to be collapsible.

Question:Does this have to go into your sink while putting in wet dishes or u can keep it on your counter?

Answer:I put my dish rack on the counter next to the sink. I don't want it in the sink. Although the rack should be sold with a tray to catch the water droplets, it does not. So I put a plastic tray (from a different previous rack) under the unit and it's perfect. ( You might buy a tray from CVS or Walmart.) This drying dish rack is just the right size for me, as I am the only person in my apartment and there aren't many dishes/cups to wash.
